The Black Lodge T.O. was a private art club that I ran with my colleagues Stacy Scalisi and Andre Bermon in the city of Toronto from the years 2011 - 2016. The name of the club was taken from the TV series “Twin Peaks” by David Lynch and Mark Frost that first aired on ABC in the early 1990’s, and had a resurgence in 2017. The way the lodge was depicted in the show was a place with a surreal series of rooms and characters, serving as the path to a terrible other worldly realm. Given that the club was located in a challenging area of the city, I thought the name would be appropriate. Taking visual elements of the lodge’s design as it appears in the show, this series was photo work I did in 2012 to help promote the venue.
